Learned, as "Wondrous Love", from the 1971 edition of the Denson Revision of "The Sacred Harp"
The Sacred Harp says the authorship is unknown, but cyberhymnal.org credits the words to
Alexander Means and the music to William Walker (1835). The main line is a well-known
English and Scottish folk tune from much earlier.
